PRIVACY NOTICE · PUBLIC BETA
Use the data needed to connect people. Keep the rest out.
This notice describes the current Lifinity Connect public Internet-calling beta. Additional services such as public phone numbers, carrier calling, messaging, payments or eSIM/mobile connectivity may require additional notices when those services are activated.
Information used in the beta
- Account information such as email and authentication state.
- Your chosen Lifinity ID and basic country/profile information.
- Call lifecycle information such as call session ID, timestamps, connection state and outcome.
- Operational quality information needed to diagnose call reliability, such as candidate type, protocol class, connection state, round-trip time, bitrate or byte counters when available.
- Security and abuse-prevention information needed to rate-limit and protect the service.
Network privacy
WebRTC, browsers, relay providers and Internet infrastructure may process network addresses transiently in order to establish a connection. Lifinity's public-beta call-event client removes raw candidate address, IP, port and candidate-string fields before durable call telemetry is submitted. Operational telemetry is intended to retain connection-quality facts rather than a durable copy of raw peer network addresses.
Microphone and call media
The browser asks for microphone permission when you place or accept a call. The current Lifinity-to-Lifinity beta transports live audio for the call. Lifinity does not represent the beta as a call-recording service. If recording or transcription is introduced later, it must be disclosed and governed separately.
Service providers
The beta uses infrastructure providers for authentication, persistence, hosting and real-time relay/network functions. Those providers process information necessary to provide their infrastructure services under their own contractual and security obligations.
Retention and control
Operational evidence may be retained to investigate failures, abuse and service quality. We aim to minimize durable telemetry to what is useful for operating the service. Account deletion and formal data-subject request workflows will be expanded as the beta moves toward general availability.
